HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is a markup language that is used to structure content on websites. It makes it possible to organise and format text, images, videos and other multimedia content to create an appealing and user-friendly website. HTML uses tags to describe and structure the content of the web page. These tags are enclosed in angle brackets () and are used in pairs, where the first tag is the opening date and the second tag is the closing date. For example, the text "This is a paragraph" in HTML is enclosed with the <p>-day: <p>This is a paragraph</p>. HTML can be used to design the structure and appearance of web pages by CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is used to control colours, fonts, layouts and other visual effects. HTML forms the foundation for all modern websites.
